On behalf of the client, a site or a house to be renovated was sought, preferably in the area of “Les Alpilles”. We found a nice piece of land at approx. 4 km from St-Rémy-de-Provence, with an unfinished carcass and with potential…
We worked diligently with the local authorities to obtain the desired construction criteria. And it worked. Surface area: approx. 1.1 ha
PURPOSE OF THE BUILDER
The client’s objective was to find a region-specific character home. The connection of indoor and outdoor living was paramount. Preferably with rooms upstairs and downstairs. On the one hand, to be able to split up considerably for privacy and visits and, on the other hand, to be able to live completely “plein pied” at a later age!
ARCHITECTURE – CONSTRUCTION CONCEPT
The “Ancienne mas” in “ancienne pierre”, with good structural features modernizing and renovating into a comfortable home, was the starting point.
The renovation has ensured that the house has remained entirely in its own “Jus”. Particular attention was paid to functional matters that belong to a contemporary living quality. The result is beautiful and also offers a lot of space and a feeling of freedom.
The house has become a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful Provencal villages and towns: St-Rémy, Avignon, Les Baux … The coast can be reached in less than an hour. Gorgeous!
